Local Mebyon Kernow Branch to revive Troon St Pirans Fete
Members of Mebyon Kernow in the Camborne and Redruth Constituency will be reviving the much missed fete on Saturday 12th March at the traditional venue of Troon Church Hall from 11am till 4pm with free entry.

Primarily a cultural and community event celebrating Cornwall's national saint day, for many years the St Piran's fete was a much loved  highlight of Troon's village Calendar.

Now featuring the excellent 'Whippletree Ceilidh band' as well as the usual craft stalls and games, the celebrations will be bigger and better than ever. All new entertainments and attractions have been invited along to give the village fete all the atmosphere of a real Medieval Fayre, just as St Piran himself might have witnessed.

There will be jesters, jugglers and face-painting for children as well as the excellent 'Whippletree' playing acoustic music both inside and outdoors if fine.

The day will also raise funds for several local cultural and community organisations. Cornish language and cultural groups will display alongside the crafts stalls, plants and tombola. 'Cornish themed items', jewellery  and  books, both new and second hand, will add to an eclectic mix alongside the games and entertainments.

As befits the national feast day, we hope there will  be something to please everyone and for every pocket, and of course there will be delicious hot and cold food, cakes and sweets provided by local caterers in the spirit of the national holiday celebration.
