After 30 years - sensible street signage for West Tolgus
More than thirty years after the houses were built Beacon Rise Park has finally got sensible street signs

Beacon Rise Park is set out in a rather unorthodox way. While one part fronts onto a cul-de-sac several houses are tucked away around the corner on a different road. A nightmare for those residents when visitors or delivery drivers were trying to find them.

Despite local residents asking local councillors to try and sort out the problem for the last thirty years nothing ever seemed to get done.

Now the new signs have been installed.

Stephen Richardson, a councillor in Illogan, managed to liaise with Cornwall Council to get the new signs. He said:

“Apparently this has been an issue for a long time. I am very glad to have been able to help and grateful to Cornwall Council for getting this done.”

One local resident is absolutely delighted. She said:

“This problem used to give us so many problems with visitors and deliveries. It seemed that nothing could be done though we have been asking various officials for years to sort things out. It really has made a tremendous difference.”
