CALLINGTON TOWN COUNCIL

Andrew Long

Andrew has been an active member of Callington Town Council since 1999; he was Portreeve and Mayor of the town in 2006-2007. Resident in the town for over 20 years, Andrew has been involved heavily involved with local organisations, including the Town's football club. He topped the poll in elections to Caradon District in May 2007, coming ahead of eight other candidates.

Chris has served Callington as an active town councillor since 1999 and on Caradon District Councillor since 2003. Chris has lived in Callington for about forty years and was well-known as a local bus driver with Western National. A passionate Cornishman and previously an independent, he joined Mebyon Kernow in 2008.

Chris Lawrence is an experienced councillor who previously served on Kerrier District Council and was active in the Labour Party for many years. He has since chosen to join the only political party 100% committed to Cornwall.

Alan Sanders

Alan is Mebyon Kernow’s longest serving councillor in Camborne South, having been first elected to the town council in 1999. He has lived in Troon for over 20 years with his wife Gillian and his son Martin, who runs his own design business. Alan is also a bard of the Cornish Gorseth.

Mike Champion is a lifelong campaigner for Cornwall. He is 51 years old and works as a tool supplier. His interests include Celtic and Cornish history, philosophy, the Cornish language and Bonsai trees. He was elected to Camborne Town Council for the first time in 2007.

Helene Cullimore
Helene Cullimore

Helene was first elected to Camborne Town Council in 2001 and has served on Kerrier District Council since 2003. A diligent and hard-working district councillor, Helene has fought many battles on behalf of local residents and community groups. Helene is also the Treasurer of MK's Camborne and Redruth Constituency Party.

Stuart Cullimore

A courageous fighter for Camborne West and it's people, Stuart has campaigned hard on many issues, both great and small, in his ward. He was elected to Kerrier District Council in 2007, coming at the top of a 12-strong field. Stuart is also a prominent and respected town councillor in Camborne.

Loveday Jenkin

A former Chairman of Mebyon Kernow, Loveday has served on Kerrier District Council since 1995. A respected councillor, she is presently the portfolio holder for Leisure, Arts and Culture. She was brought up in Leedstown and lives in her ward at Praze an Beeble with her husband and two sons.

LISKEARD TOWN COUNCIL

Roger Holmes
Roger Holmes

Roger is Mebyon Kernow’s longest serving councillor. First elected in 1968, he served on Caradon District Council from 1974-1983 and continues as a town councillor to the present day. In recent years, he has also been the driving force behind CoBER (Cornish Bureau for European Relations).

Phil Rendle

As well as being Deputy Leader (Campaigns), Phil is also MK's constitutional affairs spokesman and has been active in the campaign for a Cornish Assembly for many years. He is one of the four Mebyon Kernow members of Penzance Town Council and previously served for two years on Penwith District Council.

PERRANZABULOE PARISH COUNCIL

Eileen Carter
Eileen Carter

An experienced local campaigner, Eileen has served on Perranzabuloe Parish Council for 14 years. She is the secretary of the St Piran Trust, which is working to uncover the Oratory of Cornwall’s patron saint, and played a leading role in the excavation of the Perranzabuloe’s Old Church in 2005.

Mike Hall

Michael Hall is MK's newest councillor. An accomplished musician, he works in a sales/service position programming, installing and repairing tills for local businesses. He lives in Redruth with his partner and two young children. He was recently co-opted onto the town council.

John Chapman is a retired telecom engineer who has returned to his native Cornwall after working away for many years. He is a passionate supporter of rugby and all things Cornish. John has recently been co-opted onto St Columb Town Council.

Dick Cole

Dick Cole has been the leader of Mebyon Kernow since 1997 and has served on Restormel Borough Council since 1999. Well-known as a conscientious, hard-working and out-spoken councillor, he was recently re-elected with over 75% of the vote in his ward. Dick is also MK's spokesman on housing issues and serves on St Enoder Parish Council.

TREVERBYN PARISH COUNCIL

Matt Luke

Matthew is a 40 year old Cornishman who has served his local community on Treverbyn Parish Council since 1999. A talented designer, Matt helps run the family business in Truro. He has been involved with a large number of local organisations and has just been elected onto Restormel Borough Council, topping the poll in a former Lib Dem stronghold.

Born in Truro, and brought up in St Agnes, Loic was elected to Truro City Council in 2007. Loic works as a self employed copy writer / journalist, with guides and reports published for a range of companies and publications, including the Sunday Telegraph, Western Morning News and Guardian.

Conan Jenkin
Conan Jenkin

Conan is a long-standing MK member who fought the Truro and St Austell seat at the last two General Elections and has played a leading role in many local campaigns. He lives in Truro with his wife Emma and their daughters Elowenn & Kelyn. In May 2007, he was one of three Mebyon Kernow councillors elected to Truro City Council.
