MK Members:

LOIC RICH TO STAND IN THE TRURO AND FALMOUTH SEAT

Cllr. Loic Rich PPC Truro and Falmouth

Truro City Councillor Loic Rich has been selected by Mebyon Kernow – the Party for Cornwall to contest the Truro and Falmouth Constituency at the next General Election.

He replaces Cllr Conan Jenkin as MK’s prospective parliamentary candidate, who is standing down from the role due to increasing work and family commitments. Cllr Jenkin is also planning to take on other roles within Mebyon Kernow.

An outspoken Truro City Councillor and grass-roots campaigner, 36-year-old Loic Rich fought the Tregolls division in the unitary authority elections in June, achieving MK’s largest-ever share of the vote in a principal authority election in a Truro seat.

Speaking after his selection, Loic said:

“Mebyon Kernow are now the third party on Cornwall Council because the public know we work hard to get things people want.

“We don’t have London think-tanks that sit around dreaming up ideas to impose on everyone. I know the main priorities of the people of the Truro and Falmouth constituency are jobs, proper housing, and an enjoyable quality of life.

“MK councillors and campaigners take the time to go out and listen and work hard for their local communities. We are the only political party 100% committed to Cornwall and all the people who live here.”

Loic was brought up in St Agnes, and went to Richard Lander School and University College Falmouth. He works as a journalist, copywriter and screenwriter, with work published and produced for a range of national newspapers, technology corporations and film companies. Loic is a keen kiteboarder and motorcyclist.
